The VP550E is Valor PayTech's eco-friendly Android POS terminal — the same compact hardware family as the VP550, but built without a printer so every receipt goes out as a digital e-receipt instead of paper.

No Printer Is a Feature, Not a Shortcut

Every other terminal in the Valor line ships with a built-in thermal printer. The VP550E is the one deliberate exception — Valor's own partner materials frame it as a sustainability choice, not a missing part. Removing the printer strips out the paper roll, the print head, and the bulk that comes with them, leaving a slimmer, lighter device that hands every customer a digital e-receipt instead.

For merchants who still want a paper trail on demand, the VP550 and VP550C cover that need. The VP550E is built for merchants who have already decided digital receipts are the better default — less paper waste, less consumable cost, and one less thing to restock.

Standard Transaction Flow

The VP550E runs the identical transaction flow as the VP550 — the same menu structure and step order, just without a paper receipt at the end. Credit Sale: enter amount, confirm, then swipe, insert, or tap the card, sign and tip if prompted, and choose a receipt delivery method. Debit Sale adds a PIN entry step before the tip prompt.

Void, Refund, PreAuth, and Capture Preauth all follow the same password-gated cycle available on the VP550: tap Sale repeatedly to cycle to the transaction type, enter the transaction number or last 4 digits of the card, confirm, and complete the receipt step. Settlement, Tip Adjust, Reports, and WiFi setup all live in the same Main Menu structure shared across the Valor Android POS line.

Its Own Dedicated Dual Pricing Mode

The VP550E supports Dual Pricing mode with its own dedicated quick-reference guide, separate from the VP550's. Both share the same core CARD/CASH home-screen pattern and the same Menu > Payment > category tree for Void, Refund, PreAuth, and Capture.

The one real difference is the receipt step. The VL500, VP500, and VP550 finish a Dual Pricing sale with print or SMS only. The VP550E adds a third option — email or SMS — letting the customer choose either digital delivery method instead of being limited to a text message.
