Valor VP550 Android POS Terminal

V

The Valor VP550 is Valor PayTech's general-purpose mobile Android POS terminal, built with a full-speed thermal printer on board. CARDZ3N sells the VP550 directly as hardware, alongside its full lineup of Valor, PAX, Landi, and ID TECH terminals, with cost and list pricing set and quoted through CARDZ3N.

Built for All-Day Mobile Use

Valor built the VP550 around four upgrades over earlier Android POS terminals: a boosted battery, a more durable chassis, faster wireless performance, and better heat management. None of it is tied to a specific vertical - it is a general-purpose mobile POS meant for merchants who need reliable hardware away from a fixed counter, whether that is a delivery route, a pop-up table, or a busy retail floor that needs a line-busting backup terminal.

The device pairs a 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi radio with GPRS fallback, so a dropped connection on one band does not mean a stalled transaction. Improved ventilation keeps the terminal running through high-volume stretches without the performance dip that comes from overheating, and the 7.2V/2600mAh battery is rated to outlast a full shift of continuous use.

Block Quote

Longevity and durability are the VP550's core pitch: a robust design built to handle daily wear and tear, including accidental drops and impacts, without sacrificing the familiar Android experience staff already know.

Transaction Flow

The VP550 shares its core transaction flow with the VP550E. Credit Sale: enter amount, Enter, then Swipe/Insert/Tap (or Enter Manually), sign and tip if prompted, then choose a receipt delivery method. Debit Sale: tap Credit until it toggles to Debit, enter amount, Enter, Swipe/Insert/Tap, enter PIN and tip if prompted, then choose receipt delivery.

Void, Refund, PreAuth, and Capture Preauth are all reached by tapping Sale repeatedly to cycle the transaction type, then following the same enter-amount, card-entry, and receipt-delivery pattern. Void and Capture Preauth are password-gated. The VP550 also supports Dual Pricing mode, which adds separate CARD, CASH, and EBT buttons to the home screen with their own displayed prices - covered in a separate Dual Pricing QRG rather than the standard flow above.

Pricing

CARDZ3N's cost for the VP550 is $300.00, with a list price of $389.00. As with every terminal in the CARDZ3N hardware lineup, pricing is set and quoted directly through CARDZ3N rather than sourced from Valor's own price sheet.
